Governor Development Service is committed to the provision of a high quality service to all Middlesbrough Governors and Governing Bodies by providing information to assist you in understanding your role. Governor Development Team - Welcome to the Team

Jackie Pinning – Governor Development Manager Tel 01642 728108
Jackie has overall responsibility for Governor Services, and has responsibility for the strategic development of the department. She is also responsible for Training and Support are key services provided for governors and Jackie ensures that training remains pertinent and focused and that new courses are developed in response to Government priorities. Jackie is also Clerk to Governors to 7 school’s.

Richard Painter – Recruitment, Retention and Information Officer Tel 01642 728109
Richard has responsibility for the council’s strategy in relation to the recruitment and retention of governors. He liases with outside agencies to secure nominations for potential LA Representatives for consideration by Corporate Affairs Committee and has responsibility for the development of the PORTAL. He is also Clerk to Governors for 13 school’s.

Anne Weatherson – Governor Development Clerk Tel 01642 728107
Anne has responsibility for maintaining the database in relation for Governor appointments and resignations. Anne is also Clerk to Governors for 15 school’s and Complimentary Education Service. She also coordinates the annual buyback, collates articles for the Governors’ Gazette, and liases with the data team for preparation of new reports.

Colette Hogarth– Governor Development Clerk Tel 01642 728356
Colette has responsibility for arrangements in relation to the recruitment of Parent and Staff Governors. She also has responsibility for administrative work in relating to training and is Clerk to Governors for 16 school’s.

Emma Waites – Governor Development Clerk Tel 01642 728360
Emma has responsibility for sending out welcome packs to new governors and carrying out Criminal Record Bureau checks. She is also Clerk to governors for 14 Schools including The Cleveland Unit.
