Policy and Development
The Compact
The Compact is an agreement between Government and the Voluntary and Community Sector to improve their relationship for mutual advantage and community gain.
Wendy Kelly, Middlesbrough Council's Voluntary Sector Liaison Officer, is leading on development of a local Compact in Middlesbrough between statutory bodies and the Voluntary and Community Sector. It will set out joint commitments, covering such areas as funding, good practice, consultation and policy development. Wendy is liaising with key officers and organisations across both statutory and voluntary sectors to secure necessary commitment and a working group will be established to take this forward.
