Voluntary Sector Team
Middlesbrough Council's Voluntary Sector Liaison Team are the main point of contact between the Voluntary and Community Sector and the Council and have responsibility for the following:
- Providing overall co-ordination of the Council's relationship with the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS)
- Providing advice and support to the Voluntary and Community Sector
- Managing the corporate grant giving function of Middlesbrough Council, including Community Chest for VCS groups/organisations, individual bursaries for young people in sports, arts, personal development and education
- Managing the Youth Opportunities Fund and Youth Capital Fund
- Developing policies and procedures relating to the Voluntary and Community Sector.
