The Council's Policy "Meeting Special Educational Needs in Middlesbrough", outlines the Council's approach for ensuring that a child's special educational needs are identified, assessed and supported through a graduated and systematic response. The Policy covers w orking in partnership to meet SEN,  Local Authority support for schools , The SEN Code of Practice, provision for pupils with SEN and    funding arrangements
