The Community Education Service in Middlesbrough comprises three main services:-
Sure Start Services cater for children aged 0 - 14 years and their families.
We have 5 Sure Start Local Programmes based at Abingdon & Breckon Hill; Thorntree & Brambles Farm; Pallister Park, Park End & Berwick Hills; Easterside, Beechood & Grove Hill and Hemlington & Newham. These are available for children aged 0 - 5 and their families.
We have Neighbourhood Nurseries at Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough College (2 sites) and Brambles Farm. Others are being developed at Berwick Hills (TAD Centre), North Ormesby and Whinney Banks.
Our Early Excellence & First Start Programme covers the West Middlesbrough area and provides a range of services for children aged up to 14 years and their families.
Across the town we are busy making sure that there's enough childcare to meet the needs of working parents. We're also setting up lots of new job opportunities for people and support people to get into training in childcare.
